XMX
The patent pending XMX server is now at a pre-launch phase. We are looking for pilot projects to test the scope of its suitability for various managed services. If you have dreamed up a business to consumer service or value added service for mobile phones, but do not have the technical expertise or know how to prove the concept, then this is for you. In a nutshell, an XMX server allows an SMS message to be used as a call to action for other systems, applications and services. It allows a mobile phone user to interoperate with any software application or agent plugged in or networked to the XMX server.
End users can request information, search for information, request an action or even control robotics or other methods of automation. As an example XMX is eminently suitable for the request or subscription to 'web services' and 'mobile services'. In demonstration tests Phosphorix have successfully used an SMS message to find a document, then forward it to E-Mail, fax and printer by replying and editing the results message. This could be a photo, a price list, a catalogue or anything you want.
Phosphorix have also successfully used the XMX search method to integrate with geographic information and return a directory search with as many results as possible in a single message for a specific location.
